20 Million Foreign Tourists? Why Not?”

The Indonesia Tourism is very optimistic growing, the target is expected to contribute 8 percent to national gross domestic product, accounting for Rp 240 trillion and 13 million people working in the sector by 2019. The government is eyeing 30th position among 141 tourist countries.

President JokoWidodo’s administration even has set a target of reaching 20 million foreign tourists and 275 million domestic tourists by 2019.

When was asked to comment the optimism target,”Why not, there is no hope but it is a certainty!”Arief Gunawan the CEO of SEVENFOLD ASIA and President of Luxury Travel & Hospitality (LTH) saidafter presenting Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards 2015/16 to the winners and accompanied by Putri Pariwisata Indonesia 2015 in Jakarta recently”

Especially when government is focusing on improvements such as increased about 222 tourism destinations readiness, accessibility and connectivity. The government even has implemented visa-free entry for tourists from 30 countries recently, set the promotion, branding, and selling in a drive to bolster tourism. Facilities will automatically follow, Arief added.

Arief Gunawan is even very optimistic to welcome ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) this upcoming 2016, it is not a big surprise for him who has been more than seven years working abroad and developing his company globally.Sometimes we underestimated ourselves.There are many Indonesian out there have been competing with other nationalities to win the global market place, Arief added.

Arief Gunawanwith his LTH Collection promotes Indonesia globally through his Batik Hotels of the World. He promotes Batik as a way of living into hospitality industry. Therefore he combinesthe passion of Batik artist with all art, pattern, motive put onto any material such as wood, stone, cotton, silver, iron as a part of the hotel interior and exterior.

“There are many wonderful places to stay but it is limited to find a Batik Hotel where they can spend their holiday and they could exploring the unique of Batik art too” Arief said.“Our Batik Hotels Collection can be found in prime locations in some of the world’s finest business and leisure destination, it is covering the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific,” Arief added.

Even he recogniseand appreciate all hospitality industries of the Indonesia who participate to promote Batik as their living style, will be awarded annually ‘Batik Hospitality of the World Awards’.

SEVENFOLD ASIA and Luxury Travel & Hospitality(LTH) committed and participated to assist the Indonesia Tourism Ministry to reach their target too. They haveplanned several international events such sport, beauty and lifestyle next year at around Indonesia archipelago especially east part.

In his last statement, Arief Gunawan wishes that Indonesia should have more Luxury Travel & Hospitality destinations in this upcoming years. So that it leverages the Indonesian Tourism to the next up market level.
